Helping cats heal -
and humans do better
Every cat deserves safety, compassion, and a voice.
The Jade Project was created to raise awareness and prevent acts of cruelty toward cats. Inspired by Jadeās story, weāre dedicated to giving every cat a voice, protecting them from harm, and building a community rooted in compassion and accountability.
About Jade
Jade is a black-and-white tuxedo cat we rescued from the Humane Society of Central Oregon in 2019. Curious, gentle, and deeply loved, she spent her days exploring and making friends around the neighborhood. In October 2025, Jade was shot with a BB gun by a neighbor and lost one of her front legs. Her strength and recovery became the heart of The Jade Project ā a reminder that healing is possible, and that compassion can turn pain into purpose. Learn more about Jade >
